Will you give me a bargain? I will provide great value, but if you are looking for a steal or entry-level prices, I am not the photographer for you.
What is your photographic style? I love it all. Though I enjoy a photo-journalistic approach, I gently guide clients in posing or placement to get that outstanding image that helps to tell the story in just the way they will want to remember it. This applies to both portraiture and wedding photography. I also guide clients in traditional posing for individuals, couples, and groups (and I do this part efficiently to avoid long wait times for groups). Please review the samples on my websites to get a feel for the final product.
How should I dress for my portrait session? Wear something that makes you feel fabulous, though comfortable, and uniquely you. I love it when an individual’s style shines through their clothing and/or accessories, though my intent is to capture you regardless of what you wear! Simple clothing in lights and darks always works well, though I love variety in texture and color and accessories. With my “Love this Life” package I provide detailed custom consultation to help design your family’s wardrobe specifically for your portrait session at no additional cost. (But regardless of your package, feel free to give me a jing-a-ling in advance! I am happy to provide tips and advice on clothing options for your portraits).
Will you love my pet? Yes, I am the daughter of a veterinarian and will absolutely adore your pet, so long as it doesn’t bite me or spit in my eye.
Do you shoot in Digital or Film format? Though for years I used film, I now primarily create images in digital format.
What equipment do you use? I have invested in Nikon, and use primarily the Nikon D300s with a variety of Nikkor lenses.
Can we meet in person before the portrait session? I hope so. I provide in-home or on-location consultations. For custom portraiture, I love to meet at clients’ homes to assess lighting and location for the portrait session, wall space for custom prints, enlargements or canvasses, and to provide initial wardrobe feedback as well. For wedding photography, I require an in-person consultation prior to accepting events – I love the opportunity to connect with my brides and grooms before the big day, and most often, my wedding packages also include a pre-wedding portrait session, whether for engagement portraits or a simple portrait album. I want you to absolutely trust my style and be comfortable with how we will work together to document your wedding day and create images to last a lifetime.
Is there anything else I should know about your services? Yes! I have a great referral program – if you refer anybody to me for an in-person consultation for portrait or event photography, you will earn a referral coupon good for $50 off your next portrait session fee, or $100 off your purchase of an album or canvas following your next portrait session.
